Poetry And Praise- When It All Gets Too Much

When It All Gets Too Much

When it all gets too much
I feel as though I'm drowning
In an ocean of despair,
I'm gasping for air.
When it all gets too much
I find myself crying out
But no one seems to hear
Or even seem to care.
When it all gets too much
It's like I'm silently screaming,
Begging and pleading;
For there must be some other way.
When it all gets too much
I wonder how I will make
It through another day.
When it all gets too much
I cry until my eyes are sore,
I cry until I can cry no more.
When it all gets too much
The pain, it brings me to my knees.
When it all gets too much
I begin to pray for a better day.
When it all gets too much-
My despair, at the cross I lay.
When it all gets too much
I stand and praise my risen King,
For I know that I have been redeemed.
When it all gets too much,
Reign sovereign over my situation-
My Lord, my shield, and my salvation.
When it all gets too much,
I adorn with praise;
My Father of the nations,
For I know that I am dearly loved
With a love that comforts
When it all gets too much.

Em,

that poem is amazing, you are such a fantastic writer! Have you ever looked into getting your stuff published? If not you really should! It is also great to know that you have your faith to get you through when times get really tough x

aw, thanks Amy! No I haven't looked into getting published, I would like to but I just have no idea where to start, so I thought a blog might be a good platform to start from. Thanks for the comment love xxx
