Crafty Fridays: Table Tidies

** warning: this post is picture heavy

I created some gorgeous table tidies (or pencil pots, whatever you wish to call them) using the lovely papers from the Tea at Elsie's Collection.

These took me about a month to complete because I kept losing the motivation to complete them. This project is not ideal for a chronic fatigue sufferer, but I've finally finished and I'm so proud!

I made these for my mum to use in the kitchen. Originally the kitchen was going to have a blue theme but silly me forgot that has now changed so they don't match at all *sigh*. I've promised to deck out the laundry in blue so maybe these could be used as peg holders instead?

This one features the Chamomile paper

This one is done up with the Darleejing paper

And this paper is the very pretty Ceylon

After I stuck down the paper, I painted wooden flourishes, decorated them with pearls and then attached them to the center.

To finish off, I painted the visible edging to match the papers and then trimmed with lace. Pretty!

I do love how they turned out. I'm now motivated to make some for my craft studio!

Materials used:

Kaisercraft table tidies
Kaisercraft Tea at Elsie's Collection papers: Chamomile, Ceylon, Darleejing
Kasiercraft wooden flourishes
Self adhesive pearls in white
Kaisercolour in pale beige
Kaisercolour in turquoise
Super glue
White lace
Modge podge

phylor- I know, so many uses! If only they were water proof, they would match my bathroom perfectly!
Thanks for stopping by x

Alanna- Thanks hun! Oh good I wasn't too sure about those flourishes I was going to do them all the same but I guess they worked better with different decorations- I think it would look boring if all three boxes looked the same.
